It's taken 120-odd episodes, but we're finally going full throttle on one of our favourite players of the 1990s. Yes, this is your Juninho show. Ash and Joel (obviously) are joined by Tom Flight - author of a recently released book on Boro's 96-97 season - and the trio wax lyrical about the greatest player to don the Middlesbrough shirt. They chat through his emergence at The Umbro Cup, his arrival on Teeside and how he fell in love with the club in that roller-coaster season. Keep it 90s!
England at USA 94
It's tournament time again for Alive and Kicking and we've rewound the clock to change the course of history for this episode, and ask the question...who would have been England's 1994 squad if they had qualified for USA 94. Ash Rose and Matthew Crist are joined by writer Stuart Steelyard to discuss his very article on the subject and debate what names would have gone to the finals twenty-six years ago. Plus thanks to NOW TV we chat to former Liverpool and England legend John Barnes on The Reds transition during the decade, Italia 90 and of course World In Motion! Keep it 90s!
Locking down an XI
The three merry men of 90s football chat are together again to keep you entertained during this strange old time. In this new episode they take their own spin on the 'Carra Challenge' by putting together XI's governed by two very big rules - and in the process get it completely wrong! There's also chat on Euro 96 Relived, some upcoming shows and the ultimate kit manufacturer of the 1990s too! Keep it 90s!

Truly Alive and Kicking
I was born in the 80’s but the 90’s was where I truly fell in love with football. I’ve only recently discovered this podcast during the Covid-19 pandemic so after listening to the Juninho episode I went back and started listening from the first episode way back in August 2015 and it was quite funny to hear them talking so much about Juninho again!!!
I’m a big fan and I love all the guests that are on the show and the former footballers which have been part of the show have added some great perspective.
I’m also a Newcastle United fan that now lives in Kansas and if I had to sum up the 90’s for Newcastle United it would be “Kevin Keegan and Alan Shearer” also the best home and away shirts we’ve ever had were the 1995/96 season. I still have my away shirt from that season and its in pretty good condition, I get a few questions from the Kansas locals when I’m out and about wearing it!!!
As a fan who really started following the game in the 90's, this pod is a welcome addition to my play list. Fantastic panels jog memories, give context and wax lyrical about the beautiful game in the 90's. Great concept and well executed.
