1995
We've reached 1995 in our ongoing exploration of the top 20 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 for each year of the 90s, and this time the choices were REALLY impossible. Listen for our excellent discussion of some incredible songs, plus: crises of faith, freaks, "freak flags," school dances, personalized silk pajama sets, skin hunger, Fantasia, rollerblading, and a little something we like to call the "Advent Calendar of Loneliness."

The Crow
This week, we discussed the original soundtrack for the absolutely essential 90s film, The Crow (Alex Proyas, 1994). We also had a fight about Rage Against the Machine and discussed 90s haircuts, being born, fast forwarding, Edgar Allen Poe, the difference between "can't" and "won't," and the concept of revenge.

I love the content of this podcast so much! My only issue with it is that the hosts say “like” so much it’s distracting. It’s a lot.
Lazy podcasters
I was stoked to listen to a podcast about 90s music which is my favorite decade of music and even more excited when I saw an
Episode about my fav album soundtrack The Crow. Your podcast was so disappointing. Podcaster didn’t even know the last name of the main character in the movie. Also, if you only are speaking on three songs, maybe watch the movie and make note of when they are played and don’t just guess while you’re recording your podcast. It’s too bad because I was excited but I couldn’t finish one episode and I won’t be listening to anymore.
My Favorite Podcast
This is my favorite podcast. Tips for enjoying this podcast:
1. Be someone who was a teenager in the 90s and listened to alt rock music.
2. Find things funny and enjoy playfully interrogating your own nostalgia (or just listening to a pair of friends do that).
3. Don’t expect super serious music analysis. Instead, be ready to go on a journey into an era.
