    Let Us Foster Opportunities

    Let Us Foster Opportunities

As only our second repeat guest, former Congressman, State Senator and business school and law school Dean Tom Campbell gives us great insights about how an understanding of economics and incentives can result in prosperity. Citing his teacher Dr. Milton Friedman's comment that "You get more of what you subsidize and less of what you tax," Dean Campbell shows us how government has been subsidizing bureaucracy and poor results, and taxing productivity -- to everyone's loss, except the bureaucrats. He further states persuasively that the FDA, which slows down and makes much more expensive the process of developing and distributing medicines, should be reformed by allowing it to ban medicines that are found not to be "safe," but allow us as customers to decide if they are "effective." He also makes a persuasive case that we should change from an income tax to a value-added consumption tax. (Tax consumption instead of income!) Be sure to tune in, this good man has many great thoughts!

Connecting People in Need with Resources

Connecting People in Need with Resources

Do you know that there is a nationwide private group that connects people in need with resources? It's called "2-1-1." Anyone can call 211 on their phone and be connected to services all the way from crisis counseling to food distribution to procuring transportation. If this group doesn't make you proud, something is wrong. Our guest is Ms. Karen Williams, the President and CEO of 2-1-1OC, which is in Orange County, California, but she discusses those services nationwide. So many people will do so much better addressing their problems if they know where to turn for help. Would you know where to go if you couldn't afford to pay your utility bill, or were a victim of domestic violence? Call 211. Accurate information and help regarding the CoronaVirus, and so much more? Call 211. This private group of professionals and volunteers lives up to its motto of "Love, Compassion, Community." Ms. Williams and her group should be candidates for sainthood! Tune in and you will agree!

    Libertarian Kitchen Table Discussions

    Libertarian Kitchen Table Discussions

Talk about dedication and principled yet sophisticated leadership? Meet our guest Dr. Jo Jorgensen, who is presently a professor of psychology at Clemson University and a candidate for the Libertarian nomination for President. Dr. Jorgensen understands and explains how it was the federal government that primarily caused the banking crisis in 2008 by guarantying bad loans, how we are often needlessly sending our troops into battle all around the world, how our "healthcare crisis" can effectively be addressed by re-gaining competition among medical providers, and how the environment is better protected by Free Choice instead of government fiat. Yes, life can be complicated, but utilizing Libertarian values and approaches are the solid way forward. Tune in and you will better understand why!

    Government's Medicine Show

    Government's Medicine Show

Do you want to listen to and get to know a successful, articulate and experienced journalist? Then meet our guest Ms. Susan Shelley! She will share her insights into how governments needlessly make problems like homelessness worse, turn programs like "cap and trade" into "cash grabs," and use much less effective approaches to things like global warming. And the omni-present approach of government is virtually always to increase taxes and spending. This approach mostly adds to the bureaucracy and its own political power, but does not resolve the problems. In other words, governments often provide lessons about "How fast we can go in the wrong direction." It is "We the People" who should lead, because we respond to the problems, not the bureaucrats, because they mostly respond to politics and their continuation of power. Your host ended the interview by proposing a great solution to many of these problems, and that is for Susan Shelley simply to work harder! Listen and you will agree!

    Libertarian Boots on the Ground

    Libertarian Boots on the Ground

What would a Libertarian approach to government and life look like? Join National Libertarian Party Executive Director Dan Fishman to hear the specifics! The opposite of "factionalism," which pulls us apart, Dan Fishman describes how George Washington's Farewell Address gives us guidance to avoid foreign entanglements and say no to political parties that will separate and divide us. In their place, follow Milton Friedman's advice to judge our programs by their results instead of their "good intentions." We can start by auditing government programs and agencies to see what "bang for the buck" they are giving us. This man leads the only "mainstream" political party in our country. Libertarians unify, while the two larger parties cling to power by dividing us. You will want to hear his comments and insights, and share them with your family and friends. Because what Libertarian Dan Fishman proposes -- works!
