A fantastic guide to the American Revolution

This terrific podcast offers a comprehensive look into the American Revolution. When I first started the podcast, I was appalled that Mr Troy was close to 100 episodes and hadn’t even gotten to the Declaration of Independence. However, I quickly fell in love with his style of narration and the story behind the revolution.

His dry humor permeates the podcast, and more than once had me chuckling because of the relaxed way he explains strange historical events. I will warn a new listener that the first 2-3 episodes are a bit rough, with mostly names and dates, but he eases up a lot after those first few. My favorite episode by far is The Battle of Quebec, simply because of how hilarious the circumstances surrounding it were.

This podcast really helps take my mind off my outdoor manual labor job, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Favorite podcast on revolutionary history

Living outside of Boston all my life, revolutionary history has always been around me, these podcasts give me a greater appreciation of what our forefathers did to get us independence.

Makes my commute bearable

I love history, particularly the revolutionary period. When I lived in Boston, I was immersed in it. But since I really prefer living in a red state I moved to Texas (and love it). Now I can have my slice of revolutionary history twice a day. Michael offers some neat insights into small events and large ones. I am constantly amazed at how many I had forgotten... all those old roadside signs, I am up to episode 60 and looking forward to many more. There are now three of us listening religiously. Keep it up.
