Meh this podcast

I do really wanted to like this podcast. As an avid traveler myself, I was disappointed and turned off by the attitudes in the Bosnia episode.

Things travelers know- if you go in high season, it’s going to be crowded. You knew it was going to be a long day in a van. They tell you before you go when you sign up. If long trips in a van aren’t your thing- don’t go. (Bummer about the flat) If you are hosting a travel pod- don’t be so daft.

Having been on this trip myself- in mid September, I was really disappointed specifically with the spoiled American comments. The elitist narrow viewpoint of the male co-host smacked of everything a travel show should not be. Don’t like being out of your comfort zone? Stay at the resort.

Why wasn’t there wasn’t more talk about the scenery, pomegranate trees growing everywhere, the ancient wall you can see from the road or how incredibly friendly the people are? Second continuous wall in the world in Ston, hillside fort ruins you can hike into, the diving club of Mostar. Bosnia to me was a melting pot of many cultures with rich history. Isn’t that why we travel?

One of the best travel podcasts

These stories are so interesting, and it seems like there are multiple shows on the same topic (like Ireland). I want to visit Ireland and love so many short stories in places to visit there. I really enjoy this podcast.
