Make Menu Planning Easy - SHL Ep. 10
Meal planning not only saved us money and helped us to eat much more healthy food, but it saved Jami's sanity. When you know what you're going to have for dinner in advance you don't get that sinking feeling at 5 PM each day wondering what you'll come up with. Plus, your shopping will be streamlined and your family will quit bugging you with questions about what's for dinner. Jami shares her best menu planning tips and lots of free resources to get you started.
Then we both talk about the one supply every home remodeler needs: audiobooks.
Pros and Cons of Raised Beds for Gardening - SHL Ep. 9
If you can't tell, we love raised beds for gardening. They're especially good if you want to raise lots of vegetables while pulling hardly any weeds.
Raised beds make it easier to create healthy soil. They save on watering. They save on space. They allow you to get higher yields and more variety in a small area. And they make it easy to add season-extending attachments like row covers.
Jami discusses 7 materials you can use to create raised beds (we've personally used 6 of them). And then Brian talks about the one material you should never use.
Lives well lived
Love the friendly glimpse into successful, well-ordered, productive lives of problem-solving.
Very Informative-but not in a nerdy way-LOL
This is one of only a few (less than 10) podcasts I listen to. I wish I had time to listen to them regularly, but my life is too busy in this season.
They are fun to listen to though & I like when they do their YouTube videos because I am so visual....I like to “ see” the progress they are making. I also love their resourcefulness, their frugality & their courage to even attempt DIY’S!
I LOVE this podcast
I’ve been a great fan of the website from the beginning and when they started doing a podcast I just couldn’t wait for the first listen. Jami and Bryan are so funny, inspiring, real, and helpful! They just turn my dull days into happy days when I listen to their cheerful voices. Thank you guys for these awesome and helpful podcasts! It took me a loooong time to put in a review, for that I apologize.
