Jesus Is All the World To Me
Jesus is all the world to me, My life, my joy, my all;
He is my strength from day to day,
Without Him I would fall.
When I am sad, to Him I go,
No other one can cheer me so;
When I am sad, He makes me glad,
He's my friend.
Jesus is all the world to me, my friend in trials sore;
I go to Him for blessings and
He gives them ov'r and o'er.
He sends the sunshine and the rain,
He sends the harvest's golden grain;
Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain,
He's my friend.
Jesus is all the world to me, and true to Him I'll be;
O how could I this friend deny,
when He's so true to me?
Following Him I know I am right,
He watches o'er me day and night;
Following Him, by day and night,
He's my friend.
Jesus is all the world to me, I want no better friend;
I trust Him now, I'll trust Him when
Life's fleeting days shall end.
Beautiful life with such a friend;
beautiful life that has no end;
Eternal life, eternal joy,
He's my friend.

On Christ the Solid Rock
Hi
I'm Dee your host and welcome to another episode of An Uplifting Song a Day (Keeps Coronavirus Away)
Lyrics: Edward Mote, ca.1834
copyright status is Public Domain
Subjects: Assurance, Refuge
Scripture: Matthew 7:24-27
Music: William B. Bradbury, 1863
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus name.
Refrain: On Christ, the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.(Refrain)
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.(Refrain)
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.(Refrain)

When I Don't Know What to Do (Cover)
Artist: Tommy Walker
Lord I surrender all
To Your strong and faithful hand
In everything I will give thanks to You
I'll just trust Your perfect plan
When I don't know what to do
I'll lift my hands
When I don't know what to say
I'll speak Your praise
When I don't know where to go
I'll run to Your throne
When I don't know what to think
I'll stand on Your truth
When I don't know what to do
Lord I surrender all
Though I'll never understand
All the mysteries around me
I'll just trust Your perfect plan
When I don't know what to do
I'll lift my hands
When I don't know what to say
I'll speak Your praise
When I don't know where to go
I'll run to Your throne
When I don't know what to think
I'll stand on Your truth
When I don't know what to do
As I bow my knee
Send Your perfect peace
Send Your perfect peace Lord
As I lift my hands
Let Your healing come
Let Your healing come to me

Higher Ground
Hello and welcome to another episode of A Song A Day Keeps Coronavirus Away! Can you believe it? This is episode 35! Much thanks to those joining me for the first time or those re-joining me once again. I appreciate you all!
I'll tell you a little secret. While I followed the prompting of the Holy Spirit to put something out here to help people cope with the drastic changes in their lives.
It has also helped me. As a bipolar person, sudden changes do not sit well with me. At first, it was a welcome rest because I go hard in " normal everyday life"
But then as the time kept stretching out and I began to realize it wasn't just a month. Panic began to set in. No hugs? No lunches with friends? What?
Thank God for His word and the wonderful gift of music.
Feel free to reach out to me at upliftingsongaday@gmail.com if you have a testimony you'd like to share, a question you wish to ask, or a comment.

Lyrics: Johnson Oatman Jr. (1856-1926)
Music: Charles Hutchinson Gabriel (1856-1932)
I’m pressing on the upward way,
New heights I’m gaining every day;
Still praying as I onward bound,
“Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”
Lord, lift me up, and let me stand
By faith on Canaan’s tableland;
A higher plane than I have found,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where these abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.
I want to live above the world,
Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.
I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I’ll pray till rest I’ve found,
“Lord, lead me on to higher ground.”

Trust and Obey

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.
But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

What a Friend We Have in Jesus
Hello and thanks again for joining me for another episode of An Uplifting Song A Day (Keeps Coronavirus Away)
Today's song was one of my mom's favorite, I feel closer to her when I sing it.
See author information, scripture references and the lyrics below:
Joseph M. Scriven, 1855copyright status is Public Domain
Subjects: Friendship, Comfort, Prayer
Scripture: Exodus 33:11; John 15:13; 16:23-24
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.
