Great podcast and long time listener! I do have a correction to make on your James Horner episode. He never actually did the music for Hocus Pocus. He was slated to do it, but dropped out last minute and John Denny took it up.

After listening to a podcast episode about Moana 2, I was taken aback by how outdated the host’s perspective was. They claimed that the lack of a love interest for Moana pushes the idea that all women want to be alone, which, in 2024, is an interesting take Why does Moana need a romantic subplot to make her journey complete? What frustrated me even more was the criticism of the new male character, dismissed as not being “manly enough” to be attractive to Moana. Why reduce a male character’s growth to whether he fits a stereotypical “manly man” mold? A man can be strong through emotional vulnerability, softness, or personal growth without it making him less “masculine.” i don’t get these outdated male centered view points
