    Smile through it! 🤩

    Smile through it! 🤩

🤭Sometimes you’ve got to slap on a smile and keep it pushing. Sounds easier than it is I know.. what I’ve found is when I’m slow to react and quick to shut up and smile things seem to get resolved quicker. Negative things happen but sometimes our reactions add fuel to the fire. Being silent and smiling instead of lashing out at people isn’t a sign of weakness. For me it’s taking back control where I can when I want to step outside of my character. Stay the course and remember to read the room while smiling before you give your pearls to swine. Thanks for all of the plays and shares of The Annoyingly Positive Podcast. I’m beyond grateful and blessed. Love y’all!

    Compared to who? 😎

    Compared to who? 😎

Comparing ourselves to others is typically a bad idea that leaves us feeling lesser than. What about in competitive roles? I’ve found that comparing myself to the top performer in sales inspired the drive to want to become better. Comparing can be helpful but also can become counterproductive. Focus on your journey today and all of your hard work whether you physically see results yet or not. In today’s episode I discuss ways to keep a rock solid mindset while chasing a new adventure. Good luck and remember to pull out the positives in each day. If you’re alive then you’re here to learn something or inspire someone else to do the same. Love y’all thanks 2,000 plays! 🙏🏽

Crawl out of THE BOX! 🧠

Crawl out of THE BOX! 🧠

👠 Boxed thinking may be costing you and your company money. I’ve worked for people who have a we don’t do that here type of mentality. Why though? When I’ve asked these questions most of the time I didn’t get an answer. When I did get a solid response it usually wasn’t a valuable one that held any real merit. Stepping outside of the box leads to an open mind toward others who don’t think like you. We all have different experiences that have helped shape us. That’s what’s so brilliantly beautiful about being empathetic towards diversity.. that interesting blue-haired young man might just hold the ticket to your teams next big break!!! To all of the organizations moving in a more innovative direction I applaud you. Allowing visionaries to sit at the big tables who don’t fit the traditional mold isn’t a risky move it’s a smart one. Allow people to express themselves and you might be pleasantly surprised! God bless and thank you for allowing me to be Annoyingly Positive!🦄

    Derecho: The Mugshot☕️

    Derecho: The Mugshot☕️

Sometimes all it takes is a simple picture. After 8 days without power here in Iowa I found myself dodging LinkedIn. I was so drained and emotionally stressed that I could feel the pressure building up. After being racially profiled as a Spanish speaking person due to my skin tone I was pretty disappointed in a certain individual. He had lashed out in anger demanding I stop speaking entirely. (He isnt Spanish he’s Caucasian). Speaking english for 30mins then demanding a brown person to stop speaking in another language as if they aren’t comprehending english properly is disgraceful. Spanish people are beautifully talented and amazing individuals. That just isn’t my culture as I’m part black and part white. I’ve come too far to allow anything someone else says to upset me... I’m a human and not a robot so I needed some guidance. Where do I go? I look up my thought leaders on LinkedIn and re-listened to their stories over and over. There it was..another classic picture of Sara Blakely drinking out of a larger than life coffee mug. This mug read “don’t quit your day dream”... Well damn! In that moment it hit me that my focus is on my vision and this was simply a lesson along the ride. No one can define us or make us feel lesser than. Peoples judgements on us matter only when we accept them into our spirit. My spirit is reserved for dreams and purpose. We might not have power but we hold all of the power still. Thanks for rockin with me through the storm everyone. Still bringing the light even if the switch won’t actually work. Haha, stay blessed and thank you for allowing me to be Annoyingly Positive! Thank you to the phenomenal powerhouse Sara Blakely for the fabulously impactful mugshot!

    Your insecurity is screaming!!

    Your insecurity is screaming!!

👠When you post hateful things about people who believe in their goals it puts a spotlight on your insecurities. Confident people who are fully committed to cultivating their dreams don’t have extra energy to waste on bringing others down. In my opinion the more you throw shade at others that’s more toxicity that you’re feeding your foundation. You won’t grow properly or to your full potential. SHOUT-OUT to my dreamers who are starting something new and bucking up against self-doubt. Cleansing your thoughts in order to grow into a better individual takes A LOT of work so I applaud you. Every moment spent hating on your fellow female is wasted energy that could’ve been put toward your OWN goals. Get it together and let’s get into it. I BELIEVE IN YOU whether you support me or not because that’s what growth does to a woman. If you’re not rising you’re sinking!!! 💕

Keith Major Photography- Purpose behind the lens!

Keith Major Photography- Purpose behind the lens!

Some people like to sit around and chat about their views. I find refuge in picking the brains of people with massive influence. There's something about tapping into a world that's unfamiliar to you and finding so many similarities along the way. When people speak about hope and drive toward their dreams it's important to analyze the small parts behind the scene as well. Dreams happen for people who discover ways to get their voice and mission listened to. Join me as we sit back and hear how sticking to your passions can ultimately steer you right along the path that the universe has set out for you. He discusses the fun and privileges that take placee with shooting some of Hollywood's top A-List celebrities. Never give up and always keep it Annoyingly Positive. Thank you for your time Keith Major and Keith Major Photograpy for your raw inspiration!
