Another Bloody Movie Podcast Sean Coates

ABMP emerges out of lockdown just in time for Christmas with an episode finally recorded with 2 people in the same room (What a luxury!). Sean is joined on his incredibly comfortable couch by filmmaker, Aaron Bahamondes to talk about his brand new short film, Dirty Money: Vol 1. They also discuss some of their post-lockdown cinematic outings (including Tenet and Sound of Metal), what they watched to get them through the lockdown and Sean previews the upcoming cinema releases, End of the Century and My Salinger Year.

On this special interview episode of ABMP, Sean is joined all the way across the Nullarbor from Perth by Paul Komadina, the director of the new Aussie Sci-fi short film, Abduction, recently screened at the North Bend Film Fest as part of Nightstream. They discuss the power of genre in storytelling, virtual film festivals, film production during a pandemic and more.

On this episode, Sean is joined via Zoom all the from Seattle by Quinn Armstrong, Writer/Director of the new police training video parody film, Survival Skills, currently screening online for Fantasia Film Festival 2020. Quinn talks everything from how he got Stacy Keach to do the film, how he destroyed 50 VCRs to get the authentic VHS aesthetic, the benefits of an online film festival and how he feels about his film in the midst of the current protests and police brutality in the US.
