Are you being too Defensive?

Defensiveness is self-preservation, and it keeps a conversation from ever finishing. Somebody has to end the cycle, which means taking ownership before it feels fair. Pausing mid-argument to ask how Christ would respond changes the temperature. The calling is to love them whether or not the love comes back yet.
