Are you ready to get organized‪?‬ What the Hell is My Brain Doing?

    • Self-Improvement

Another week is upon us my lovely friends!

I cannot believe how quickly the summer has flown by.

I am really hoping you have been finding some value in my theme of productivity for the month of August.

We are getting into a potentially hectic time of year for some people.

People are getting back into the grove of work from summer vacations.

Everyone is prepping for school to start.

And I have already started seeing companies advertising Christmas Light installation.

Face it- this time of year can be pretty crazy unless we keep it all organized.

So, in keeping with my ongoing productivity theme, let’s talk about how our brain thinks about organization and what it means to individual people.

If you are like me a few years ago, if your space is unorganized then you internalize that chaos and it drains and demotivates you.

And then when I try to organize, it can quickly feel overwhelming if I tackle it all at once.

So today I want to take you down memory lane a bit to go over my journey of getting organized and realizing that like everything, nothing is one size fits all.

I had to learn what organizational philosophies and tricks worked for me and which ones didn’t.

In the process, I have gathered some wisdom on how to get yourself organized that I am excited to share with you today.

Today we will discuss:

Lessons learned on my organizational journey
Understanding your brains organizational systems and how to hack them for your benefit
Thoughts on common organizational tools & tricks
