Art Chat with Linda Riesenberg Fisler

Thank you, Linda and your team for bringing this wonderful show to all of us artists/painters. It is often overlooked in this visual world. I live that the master artists like Sherrie McGraw, Quang Ho, David Leffel, Carolyn Anderson, and CW Mundy to name a few have so many wonderful tips and experiences to share. I think it is very important to hear them give their point of views and their journeys.

This art podcast has some decent guests depending on your interests and is lowkey and easy to listen to while driving or as background. I might have given it an additional star but the host periodically tends to go to the victim card. Despite seemingly 9 out of 10 new painters being women and all of the institutional support and special exhibits specifically provided to women artists these days, the host often likes to whine about the special treatment and automatic respect male painters receive at the expense of women. As a guy learning to paint, I just role my eyes as it’s definitely not the world I’m seeing now.

I wish the podcast was more professional. It seems like a lot of people are getting talked over and sometimes people aren't paying attention to answers so guests are repeating themselves when us as the listeners have already heard it. I think there are to many cooks in the kitchen so to speak. It's annoying to hear the guests getting cut off and not given the opportunity to speak.
