A lot of people don't understand modern art or contemporary art history. Because the art world is full of stuck up snobs who expect the layman to have read Derrida. We are too goofy to be those people.

That Doggone Cassius Coolidge
We're back with our first Jimcast in awhile. He surprises Vanessa with a well researched piece on who painted those dogs playing pool paintings and why. Turns out Kash with a K was a cool dude who did a lot of junk, and dog paintings just scratch the surface.

Postmodernism
What comes after modernism? Well... Existential dread and postmodernism.

Interview With Greg Metz: Part 02
Greg Metz is an artist and professor located in Dallas, Texas. He is famous for politically charged work & art cars.

Signal Intrusion and You: A Guide
Vanessa and Jim explore a different sort of art - the art of signal intrusion. From Vrillion, an alien with a message of peace and love hijacking a British newscast to Max Headroom singing Clutch Cargo over Doctor Who, signal intrusion is a highly technical - and sometimes highly artistic - and usually pretty illegal - form of culture jamming as art.

So Interesting!
I loved the discussion on art history and art method. I can’t wait to hear more.
Very cool podcast
It's so good. Jim is the best.
It's like a lesson in art history
In school, I loved art class, but they did not go in depth into specific artists or movements any more than your standard public school education would allow. I love hearing the interesting history behind some of this art and find myself looking up the works discussed on the show and astonished by how amazing they are. I actually discovered I live one town over from one of the artists profiled on this show, Jeff Koons.
