    Workshop Spotlight: Del Harrow and Digitally Fabricated Molds

    This week we sat down with Del Harrow to talk about his upcoming workshop Digitally Fabricated Molds here at Anderson Ranch

    As ceramic artists, the technology we use is a language. Our ideas and creative voices are expressed through tools, techniques and materials, which are both consistent and also continually evolving. In this workshop, we explore the theoretical context, practical applications, and poetic potential of digital technology integration into the languages of ceramic form.     Del Harrow teaches ceramics and sculpture at Colorado State University. His work has been exhibited recently at the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Denver Art Museum, the Arizona State University Art Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Haw Contemporary in Kansas City, MO and Harvey/Meadows Gallery in Aspen. Del received his MFA from Alfred University.

    This week we sat down with Padma Rajendran to discuss her workshop Textile Printing: Screen Block, Foil & Dye here at Anderson Ranch.

    Padma Rajendran lives and works in New York and teaches at SUNY Purchase and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She has taught workshops at Byrdcliffe Artist Residency, Textile Art Center, Habitat for Artists, and the Neuberger Museum. She received her MFA in Printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design.

    As part of our new Workshop Spotlight audio series we had a conversation with Boris Bally about his upcoming workshop, furniture, and feelings about recycling and art making!

    Boris is teaching Recycled Furniture: F.O.R.M.S in our sculpture department Jun 10 - 14 this summer! In the class students will explore how to create Furniture Originating from Recycled Material and Signage.

    Boris Bally is a Swiss-trained goldsmith working as a contemporary metalsmith in Providence, RI. He was interviewed for the Smithsonian Institution’s “Archives of American Art: Oral History Project”. His work has received prestigious awards, been included in numerous international exhibitions and is featured in prominent museum collections.
