541: Living A Life Of Purpose And Truth With Charlene Wheeless

541: Living A Life Of Purpose And Truth With Charlene Wheeless

Today's episode is with Charlene Wheeless. Charlene started her career in Corporate Communications straight out of college and never looked back. Working in a variety of industries, from associations, to information technology, to oil and gas, She honed her skills in every aspect of corporate and marketing communications and public affairs. She is a self-acknowledged nerd when it comes to technology and obsessed when it comes to integrating technology, communications and creativity to develop outcomes that have yet to be discovered. She thrives in fast paced environments that are uncomfortable with the status quo. Issues management, crisis communications, diversity counsel, data and digital analytics, and problem solving are what gets her out of bed every day -- that and her two dogs. Grace under pressure, She has never met a crisis she didn't want to jump into or a stray dog she didn't want to save.

Professionally speaking, she is a trusted advisor to the C-suite, and a proven executive with demonstrated results in issues management, crisis communications, reputation management, employee communications/engagement, diversity, mergers & acquisition communications, brand, and data analytics as an enabler to communications intelligence and effectiveness.

    539: Day 29 #LetsTalkBias

    539: Day 29 #LetsTalkBias

So where do we go from here? Over the last 28 days, we have worked on awareness, unlearning and ways to turn this moment into a sustainable movement.

The combined reach of the #LetsTalkBias challenge on the 8 platforms it has been run is over 650,000.
In order to continue the conversation, I’m launching the UYD Collective. This is a collective for those who want to embark on a journey that will dismantle the systems of oppression around us. We will cry, laugh, make mistakes and support each other but more importantly, we will learn how to use our differences to make a difference. Benefits of being in this collective include access to courses, content, scripts, webinars, digital downloads, templates, infographics, checklists, exclusive tips, advice and best practices aimed at improving cultural competency and cross-cultural communication skills. Members will also be able to learn together and from each other.
I will also be turning the videos into a course which will be launching at the end of July.

Hope you check it out, invite your friends and family to participate and see you tomorrow for concluding thoughts.
Use your DIFFERENCE to make a DIFFERENCE.

Phenomenal Conversationalist!

Tayo does a fabulous job connecting with his guests. I felt like I was eavesdropping on a conversation between peers. He asked the same questions I had which kept me engaged for the duration of the episode. Tayo’s podcast is worth a subscription and several downloads!
