Exogenous ketones are lauded by many for their endurance performance enhancing properties, but their impact on blood acidity is detrimental to performance and can even counteract their otherwise positive effects. Great podcast.

The information they give would make a great secret, so I have no idea why I’m recommending

Podcast has gone downhill

Between Nate’s tiktok videos, ambers “love yourself” pseudo-therapist attitude, and Jonathan’s ultra-elitist douchey, this podcast went from solid takeaways for training to mashing my way through cringe one 30 second skip at a time. Seriously, why have episodes been packed with 75 minutes of fluff? Old episodes were 60 minutes. New episodes, esp since they’ve added Amber on full-time, are definitely not worth listening to.

Excellent Source of Learning

Hat’s off to the Trainer Road staff. I have learned so much from this team. Why do I spend my precious time listening to this podcast? Because it is worth it. I learn about training theory and practice. I learn about what the science says. I learn about the “bro science”, which is sometimes good to know.

This podcast has exposed me to so many topics that I wouldn’t otherwise have been exposed to.

One of the things that I have learned is the importance of consistency. Of course, this is obvious, but when you hear it over and over and over, and you hear it from people who are pros/extremely competitive, you pay attention.

Also, the podcast can be a lot fun.
