All things Yoga, from the ground up. This podcast is devoted to applying the ancient teachings of yoga to the wild and weird world of the modern 21st century. We discuss everything from philosophy to practice because all life is Yoga.
My name is Khushi. I am a yoga teacher of over 12 years trained in the classical styles of Swami Rama and Sri Krishnamacharya, and a Vipassana meditator. This podcast was born because I wanted to bring fresh rooted perspectives to inspire people to deepen their practice.

Ep 4 - The Power of Pilgrimage
In today's episode of atha yoga I speak with Jörn Materne, pilgrimage guide and meditator, on his experiences leading and guided people on meditation journeys for the last 10 years. Pilgrimages are one of the lesser known unique ways of developing in your journey towards peace. Are pilgrimages still relevant for the modern seeker? And why even consider going on a pilgrimage if you follow a spiritual path? Come join this conversation to get inspired to deepen your practice!
You can find out more about Jörn and his tours on his website: www.dhamma-yatra.com or email him at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ep 3 - Enter the Gap
Today’s episode is about the embracing of Bardo - the space between things. As we transition between 2020 and 2021, learn how the teachings of the Bardo can literally change your mind.
Ep 2 - Ignorance is Bliss (or is it?)
In the second round of atha we get into the kleshas or the obstacles to our happiness. How can we overcome the ignorance of the mind, and is ignorance really all that bad?
EP 1 - NOW the discipline of Yoga
We start of our first episode of Atha Yogānuśāsanam with a tribute to the very first sutra and what this “atha” or Now means. Join me in an interesting look at sutra 1.1
A rare teacher & a natural healer
Khushi's way of sharing her wisdom whether through this novel podcast or through her Yoga classes/workshops is superb and holds a unique soothing quality for crazy minds in the 21st century. She does so in an eloquent, sharp, authentic, funny, kind, and inspirational manner.
I used to encounter difficulties or have resistance towards Yoga practice, but somehow Khushi made it all dissolve. Thank you for this wonderful service of yours, from moment to moment.
Sharing ancient wisdom from the heart
Khushi shares the wisdom of ancient sacred texts in a way that brings the words to life, to this moment. Her delivery is thoughtful, genuine and from the heart. The podcast is an easy listen while still offering the challenge of integrating the teachings into our lives. Looking forward to the next episode!
The space between
I love this podcast and how approachable and understanding Khushi is in sharing and shedding light on the philosophy of yoga. Her reflections always deepen my practice. This episode, The Bardo, was especially interesting especially at this time. Slowing down, feeling/seeing the moments in-between action, movement and breath. I am looking forward to my next savasana to practice these insights. Thank you, Khushi, for all you do for us!
