Great college football talk

The fat guy and the smart guy are the one of the best podcasts covering college football today. They have light hearted fun while still giving you facts and gems of knowledge.
Plus I like that they have some bias and give solid Netflix reviews.

Go Irish

Seems like Braden is still a little salty about 2004 & 2005...

In all seriousness, he does come off as blatantly biased against the Irish. Solid coach, return their QB, and 14-15 returning starters from an undefeated playoff team. You are doing a disservice to your listeners by consistently leaving ND out of any potential playoff discussions. They’ve been a contender and in the playoff discussion well into November (sans 2016) since its inception. Spoiler Alert: they’re probably going to be highly ranked heading into November again after beating Michigan (for the second year in a row). I’m dumbfounded at how much love he’ll throw at LSU heading into this season because they beat UGA at home last year... After listening to the “Mental Gymnastics” episode my brain is doing flips. I thought Desmond Howard was the biggest homer in sports media but he has clearly met his match in the form of a slightly chubby UT grad leading any and all “S-E-C” chants at the top of his lungs. FYI three teams from one conference making the playoff would be a TERRIBLE season for the other 80% of the power 5. But not that your short-sighted self would notice.
Anyone looking to gain some knowledge on the rest of college football should look elsewhere because the conversation on this podcast is DOMINATED by Braden and all he wants to talk about is how good the rest of that conference is to comfort himself and any other UT fan for being the sec doormat the better part of the last two decades.
