Aubrie wanted to be perfect in everything. She was great at sports, a straight A student, and a social butterfly. However, she also wanted to have the perfect body and face. Aubrie got swept up by the dieting culture of the internet and developed an eating disorder. At 18, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had to have an invasive throat surgery that left her almost voiceless for over a year. And then one day she realized that she was sick and tired of being sick and tired, and she knew it was a time to make a change.
