He launched his debut novel at the age of 77 this year. It is titled Pignon Scorpion and the Barbershop Detectives and Gail contacted him to discuss the inspiration for the novel, his creative process, the marketing ideas he learned from Gene Simmons of the rock band KISS, and the guidance he would give anyone starting out.
