Authority, Honor, and Blessing - Ephesians 6:1-9
Three qualities of honor:
1. Honor brings blessings.
"Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the Lord your God is giving you." - Deuteronomy 5:16
2. Honor never expires.
"The eye that mocks a father and scorns to obey a mother will be picked out by ravens of the valley and eaten by the vultures." - Proverbs 30:17
3. Honor extends to all.
"Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor." - Romans 13:7Next Steps: Answer three questions.
