For Engineers, By Engineers ft. Rob Stead of Sense Media Group
AutoSens Brussels 2023 marked the end of an era as a new chapter unfolds for the world’s leading exhibition on ADAS and autonomous vehicle technology development. The AutoSens and InCabin conferences will co-locate in 2024, first in Detroit in May 2024 and then in Barcelona in October 2024. ”For many AutoSens and InCabin attendees, the Autoworld Museum has become an undeniably special and memorable place, myself included,” said AutoVision News Radio host Carl Anthony. ”However, excitement is in the air as we set our sights on Barcelona and the strong automotive community there in 2024.”
From the exhibition floor at the Autoworld Museum, Carl talks with Rob Stead, Managing Director of Sense Media, the organizers of the AutoSens and InCabin conferences. Rob recalls the early days of AutoSens, some of the most significant trends in ADAS over the years, and what he is most proud of as the conference enters a new era.

Small Cars, Big Dreams ft. Alex Polonsky of DAVG
The Detroit Autonomous Vehicle Group, or DAVG for short, is an open community built around the development of miniaturized self-driving cars. Drawing from his struggles in middle school after moving to the United States, DAVG founder Alex Polonsky has modeled the group into a safe space where tech enthusiasts can share ideas and learn from one another.
On this episode of AutoVision News Radio, Alex shares his rebellious early years as his family sought to leave the USSR and how scary it can be to land in a new place where nothing is familiar and you cannot speak the language. Alex also shares why young and aspiring engineers should get their hands dirty and work on projects and why it’s important to foster a community of innovation and inclusion.

Passion in a Bottle ft. Mike Pennington & Tony D’Amato of Meguiar’s
Frank Meguiar, Jr. made his first bottles of furniture polish in 1901 with an egg beater, working at night to fill orders for the next day.
