Ep. 109: Roses for Everybody
Since its premiere in 2002, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have a combined 44 seasons in the US and have cast an estimated 1,142 hopeful singles. In the 20 years that these shows have been on ABC, they have only cast two individuals that have self-identified as larger. That maths out to an embarrassing 0.17% of contestants. Today on the pod, Jenna and Olivia, two of the founding members of Roses for Everybody are here to talk about their body inclusivity campaign and what change they want to see in the franchise.

Ep. 106: No Cameras, Please
The guys are another year older and they are reflecting on their birthday celebrations. Also on this episode, we tease our feature on the “She’s All Bach” podcast (for the whole thing, check out their feed later this week). And finally, after taking heat from Dustin and Emma, Peter gets someone to back him up on his “what if there were no cameras on the bachelor” shower thought: 3rd roommate Jessica joins the pod for this spicy debate.

Ep. 105: She's All Bach-elors In The City
Why have one set of beloved podcast hosts on a recap when you could have TWO sets of beloved podcast hosts. Today the guys are joined by Stefanie Parker and Jackie Maroney, the hosts of the She's All Bach podcast and the tea is piping hot. We get their takes on the dual bachelorette season and, being the inquisitive powerhouses they are, the ladies get some niche insider perspectives on the show from the guys.

Ep. 104: The Bachelor (but make it horror)
What if The Bachelor had a twist ending? Say they went to the destination where the finale was to be recorded and something went horribly wrong… Well, author of the book Patricia Wants To Cuddle, Samantha Allen envisioned just that. In her satirical rom-com turned horror novel, contestants participate in The Catch with the hopes of walking away engaged and in love, but will they make it off Otters Island alive? Read the book to find out. But also listen to this conversation with Samantha to get her takes on previous seasons (like Peter’s), her perception of the current season and the shout outs to The Pit that she hid in her book.

Missed the point
I think the recent podcast just missed the mark about the Nate controversy. I wouldn’t say it was sexist (I appreciate the desire to defend a friend) but just missing the point. It’s not about Nate having the right to not introduce women to his daughter. That is totally his right. It’s about Nate’s choice to completely hide a critical aspect of his life with them— his identity as a father and the existence of his daughter. It would be a similar level of outrage if his own friends (not even women he was dating) didn’t know he was a father after knowing him for months (or years!). The problem is the deceit of it all by the omission and lies. Doesn’t matter if the relationships were not serious. If he spent a significant amount of time with them and said he loved them etc. but purposefully hid a major part of his life from them, that’s being dishonest.
Don’t believe the haters
Please follow your heart and not the hate. These bullies are not it.
I’ll miss this podcast!
I’ll miss this podcast. Love hearing their perspective on Bach producers.
