    Episode 681 – Exercise Your Business – Get A Running Start To Deliver On Your Goals

    Episode 681 – Exercise Your Business – Get A Running Start To Deliver On Your Goals

    What do running a business and running a 5K have in common? They both can feel like being on a treadmill, especially without having some Goals.

    I found some inspiration from a book I found on Blinkist by Haruki Murakami - "What I talk about When I talk about Running". Haruki went from being an owner of a jazz club in Tokyo (slowly killing himself) to a prolific and award-winning writer. He started to take his health seriously at age 35 and took up running for inspiration.

    Although running a race is a community event, you have to focus on your own goals and overcome your own limitations. In the sea of people at the starting line, you have no idea about the stories and goals of each individual.

    There are some key lessons to be learned here:

    * Running For Health - What goals motivate you in your business?

    * Running For Mental Health - Do you take time to appreciate where you have been and how far you have come?

    * Running For Networking - How does what you do in business support others? Donation? Education? Just being an ear?

    * Running For A Cause - Giving back just feels good!

    In this episode, we will explore how you can help others while achieving your own success goals!.

    What if the next person crossing your path today is the exact person you need to know tomorrow? Truth is we need each other. We were not created to live life alone. So why does it often seem so difficult to connect? In social and professional settings, Kymberli has always felt the need to make friends. While completing a challenge to meet 100 people in 100 days, Kymberli learned how to be intentional about meeting and connecting with people, and her life has never been the same. I Need To Know You gives practical and applicable tips and “how-to” examples that will help you improve your personal and professional connections. Episode 679 – Dunbar’s Number And Why It’s Better To Be Part Of A Tribe

    Episode 679 – Dunbar’s Number And Why It’s Better To Be Part Of A Tribe

    What's the difference between being an influencer and a good networker? Common wisdom says that you should try to build a huge following on LinkedIn (30,00 people) or a huge email list. If you can achieve that, the numbers will be in your favor to make more sales... but are they?

    Dunbar's number states that the average human can only maintain 150 active relationships. This is based on the fact that the human brain can only maintain an emotional connection with people whose faces they recognize. That means that you should focus on building a tribe around that 150. That can help you make better and more profitable connections with those who Know, Like, and Trust you!

    There are some key lessons to be learned here:

    * The tribe is a part of our primal brain!

    * We spend 60% of our time with our 5 closest friends

    * Companies and studies show that 150 is the perfect business team size

    * Cold Calling is not the same as Tribe Building!

    In this episode, we will explore how you can build your tribe of 150 and maximize your business in the process.

    Episode 677 – You’ve Got Jail… How Facebook Is Getting Bad For Business

    Episode 677 – You’ve Got Jail… How Facebook Is Getting Bad For Business

    I find that Facebook is becoming less and less of a platform where I think we can try to do business. It has not only become very divisive but their model of Community Standards is over-policed in some ways and under scrubbed in others.

    Their goal is to create a friendly environment for all, but a simple motivational, historical quote I shared two years ago... landed me in Facebook jail with no recourse for the third time. This not only affected my personal accounts but also my pages and access to my client's pages that I manage.

    There are some key lessons to be learned here:

    * Free Speech is never FREE!

    * Social Media vs Social Networking

    * Facebook for Business

    * Facebook Groups

    In this episode, I will share my thoughts from my time in Social Media Purgatory and a 3rd round in Facebook Jail!

    And it's not a pretty sight!
