Like, people don't know what they don't know. Right? So let's discuss how we can open the door for others - because when we let others show up for us, what we're really doing is showing up to ourselves. Tune in and dive into some 1:1 time with me.

110 | How to Let Go of People-Pleasing Behaviors with Tiffany Hall

110 | How to Let Go of People-Pleasing Behaviors with Tiffany Hall

How full does your cup feel these days? And how much time are you dedicating to yourself and your needs? Tune in to my conversation with Tiffany Hall, LMFT, and let's check-in. When looking at people-pleasing behaviors, I think we can sometimes get too literal. People-pleasing isn't necessarily going out of your way to please the people around you — it's simply putting other's needs before your own.

Start by just reflecting on your life since the start of the pandemic - have you been neglecting yourself to appease those around you? And if so, how does that make you feel?

Talking to Tiffany was amazing - IMO, she is the expert on letting go of people-pleasing impulses. She shared so many insights on how we can begin to focus on how we see ourselves instead of how others may view us. We went everywhere in this conversation, and then some. Tune in to learn how you can break free.

109 | You Don't Have to Do It All + Watering Your Professional Relationships with Tiffany Dufu

109 | You Don't Have to Do It All + Watering Your Professional Relationships with Tiffany Dufu

As important as it is to strive for work-life balance, the act of trying to achieve that can get you into a toxic trap of scarcity (especially if you try to constantly "check-out" between those hours of 9-5).

Yikes! I know - but that's why it's such a gift to have Tiffany Dufu on the show. She helps rein us in, providing check-in points to see if we're actually getting what we need out of our professional and personal relationships. In this episode, we look at what it means to operate within a team and what our place within that space actually looks like.

And just in case you haven't met Tiffany yet, she is the author of Drop the Ball: Achieving More by Doing Less and the founder of Cru - an expansive support group for helping you reach your entrepreneurial and life goals. Trust me, this episode is going to be a trip!

Just What I Needed

I honestly do not know how I came across The Balanced Black Girl podcast, but I am grateful that I did. Nearly every episode I have listened to so far has truly resonated with me and made me feel seen. The topics are intriguing and Les is graceful, confident, and exudes wisdom when she speaks that I can effortlessly listen to an entire episode. That’s a big deal because not every podcast/speaker has that effect on me. Les truly has that “IT” factor and I am always looking forward to a new episode!
