Myf and Zan go out with a bang

It's our last episode for a while, and we're sliving with unhinged energy. We'll wrap the big events of the week and year - yep, we're winding up with our big "Year in Review". Get ready to be reminded of all the cooked and wonderful things that happened in 2024. From the Willy Wonka Experience to Baz Lurhmann's unfiltered street chat, the powerful spectacle of the MONA Ladies Lounge case to Troye Sivan's bottomless bowl. Relive it all with us. As we step back from hot takes and embrace a bit of "me time", we asked you what you're making time for in 2025, and we'll share some of our favourite messages. And we wouldn't leave you without some juicy bang ons! A couple of wonderful watches, and a book that might just help you switch off as well. Bang On wouldn't be possible without an array of Bang Babes, Bang Boys, and one Bang Man; some brilliant producer brains. Many thanks to Kyran Nicholson, James Findlay, Cassie Walker, Corynne Tait, Caitlin Nienaber, Gabrielle Burke, Liza Perkovic, and Ryan Egan. Bang Fam, we wouldn't exist without your support, feedback, love, and community. Thank you for listening to Bang On over the past (almost) 8 years. Thank you for your emails, DMs, and crop dusting of "Bang Fam" out in the wild. We are so grateful, and so emo about you. We love you heaps! Thank you for everything. x Warning: This episode contains strong language. Beyoncé is Bang Fam and we have proof

We're a US election free zone in this week's episode, so if you want a brain bath and a some silly duffa chat we are - as always - here if you need. And it's a huge week cos we think Beyoncé is Bang Fam?! Is she sending us messages via her Beylloween posts? Closer to home, an obituary has nailed it, and a questionable survey has us chatting interior design. Live, Laugh, Love. Moschino have backed up their baguette bag with a celery clutch and all we can say is TAKE OUR MONEY. And we're celebrating the life and legacy of the late great Quincy Jones. When Saoirse Ronan piped up we all heard it

It's Halloween and we're ghoulishly making our way through the week that was. Myf's been in the presence of The Mescal, while Zan has been singing Khe Sanh with her dad. Janelle Monae is ET and we're patiently awaiting what Heidi Klum will unveil. One of the most viral videos of the week has us chatting too; Saoirse Ronan is all of us in that moment on Graham Norton's couch, trying to explain the realities women face to a bunch of nice guys. Mama Tina has a memoir, The Bear is The Boss, and Lily Allen is making more coin from her feet than her music. We'll unpack it all. Myf's brought in some truly heinous farshun for the holiday, and we're banging on about a great Aussie film and an excellent longread on Netflix. Why does everyone hate Lawrence?

It's a real "because the internet" kinda week, and we're unpacking North West's $20k lol gift for her mum, Meryl and Martin's possible hard launch (thanks Steve), and the plight of Mickey the Cockatoo. A band called Lawrence are drawing attention on TikTok for their singer's huge wail, some people love it some people hate it, everyone is posting their reacs to it. Because the internet. Bieber's love of slippers as outdoors wear has infiltrated high farshun and we are here for cosy o'clock. And we're banging on about new series Rivals and Dan Levy's directorial debut Good Grief. Zan just realised The English Teacher is TJ Mack

Myf and Zan are back to bring some light into your week, and Polly Jean Harvey is gonna help. Did you hear that Myf has the Prime Minister on her Spicks and Specks team this weekend too? She'll give you all the goss. Meanwhile Zan is punishing anyone who'll listen to watch The English Teacher - while also realising it's creator is also TJ Mack. It's a classic Gen X discovery of TikTok virality, a year too late. And a piece on "treat culture" and why giving yourself a fancy smoothie or mani/pedi is the new vacation, has us intrigued. If internet chat is too much this week, look up. It's Aussie Bird Count week and a reminder to get your head outta your phone. We're banging on about the Menendez Brothers series on Netflix 'Monsters', and a fascinating exploration into groupthink with the podcast Hysterical. The Met Gala theme is here and we're counting down to May 2025

Breaking FARSHUN news; the Costume Institute has announced its 2025 exhibition which means we have our Met Gala theme and ooh boy are we pumped. In adjacent gallery news, the long held question "is this art?" has not been asked by a Dutch gallery worker. Whoopsies. Fat Bear Week has crowned its incumbent champion (we luv u Grazer), and a Qantas in-flight entertainment fail has us remembering the olden days of forced viewing. It's shaping up to be a big summer of music movies too, with Paul Kelly, Robbie Williams, Bob Dylan, and Pharrell all having their stories told in different ways. And we're banging on about a heartbreaking film you shouldn't watch on a plane, and the latest season of Slow Horses.
