Disclosure: I’ve known the creator for a while and was interviewed on an older episode. There are a number of great podcasts in the functional/paleo space, so why should you listen to Health by Design? Well, a lot of time the big-name experts are generalists, and they may not be too educated on specific topics other than to make blanket statements that aren't always true. For example, my expertise is in the area of blue light affecting circadian rhythms. I keep hearing some of the big-name doctors, whom I overwhelmingly respect, get things wrong about blue light. Things like "LEDs are bad" or "avoid blue light at all times." Statements that are partially true, but also partially wrong and potentially dangerous. Just because Ror's guests tend to have a slightly smaller following doesn't mean they aren't worth listening to. On the contrary, the experts may be a bit fringe, but this is where new ideas come from. If you want to hear from specialists who can share the latest ideas, listen to Health by Design. Also, Ror is doing an excellent job bringing these ideas up to Canada.
