Let's Talk About Tennis' Classification Issue

Let's Talk About Tennis' Classification Issue

As the debate over 'classification' in wheelchair tennis rumbles on, player, journalist and Baseline Media contributor Gemma Stevenson and former Great Britain men’s national coach and ex-ITF wheelchair tennis manager Mark Bullock discuss the wheelchair tennis landscape with host Andrew Raeburn.

Gemma explains the IPC’s revised classifications and how it will create a glass ceiling which will prevent some players from competing at an international level, including a number of Paralympians.

Mark expresses his concerns over how it will impact the growth of wheelchair tennis but foresees a time when wheelchair and non-disabled players might compete together.
