How do high-achieving lawyers break through generations of being taught that we have to grind ourselves into the ground to get results for clients, build a successful business and create a life we love?
While law schools are busy teaching the rule of law, they’re slacking on teaching us how to be a better human to create for ourselves the success we thought we’d achieve after law school.
This podcast bridges the gap between law school and life.
Dina Cataldo is a life coach for lawyers and a full-time practicing lawyer who teaches law firm owners how to rewire their brain to increase productivity and decrease stress.
Get ready to take your life to a whole new level.
Judging Other People
Whenever we judge someone, we want them to be different.
Wouldn't it be great if we could tell adults how to behave, and they would just do what we tell them to do?
What I'm offering in this episode is a way for you to take control of your time, energy and brainpower to use them in a way that's more impactful than staying stuck in the feeling anger, resentment or annoyance.
BONUS: Taking Control
Everything we have in our life is a reflection of what we believe.
If you're not making the progress you want to see on your goals, you may feel our of control.
Today I'm sharing 5 beliefs I needed to embrace to take control of my time and my life.
I also want to invite you to my Calendar Masterclass for Lawyers happening this upcoming Saturday.
We're taking a deep dive in the beliefs you need to take control of your calendar AND your life.
This podcast is for lawyers who feel a bit lost. They know they're meant for more, but they're not sure what.
It's a bit of a workshop to help you begin thinking differently, create a vision for your life, and create a strategic plan to begin moving forward on getting what you want.
Brain Management 2.0: Predicting Outcomes
Our brain isn't great at predicting outcomes.
When we're faced with decisions or new circumstances, our brain goes directly to doubt and fear to keep us safe.
If we have doubt and fear, then we won't take any new action, which assures our safety.
If we don't manage our brains instead of them acting from default, we won't get closer to our goals.
How to Stop Feeling Behind
"How do I stop feeling behind?" is one of the most common questions I get asked by lawyers.
If you want to stop feeling behind, it starts with one secret: understanding how your mind works.
Once you understand how your mind works, then you can begin changing the habit that has you feeling behind.
I walk you step-by-step through how you can use this new understanding of your brain to take more impactful actions towards your goals.
One of the issues that a lot of lawyers come to me with is they know that there's something tugging at them to do more than what they're currently doing, but they don't know where to start.
There's so many things that they want to do, they get overwhelmed.
In this podcast, I'm sharing an exercise to help you get clear and some mindset shifts to help you take action.
Great timing, great podcast
I would have thought at 52 I’d have a better handle on why I felt dissatisfied with a recent change in firms. To quote one my favorite movies, Dina is “a voice of reason in a time of great madness.” Her wisdom allowed me to recenter myself and realize I’m in control of keeping myself there.
I’m glad I found this podcast
This has become one of my favorite podcasts. It has helped me identify and address negative thoughts in a constructive way.
Useful, practical, and easy to listen to.
I started listening to the podcast a few months ago. I found the topics and information useful. Dina comes across approachable and sincere. She is speaking from experience. What I also like about it is there are no overly complicated theories on how to deal with topics presented. The podcast references life strategies directed sometimes specifically to lawyers but it can be applied to anyone with a busy lifestyle. Highly recommend making it a regular part of your day.
