Important queer topics articulated thoughtfully

Bearded Fruit keeps me alive. I'm not joking: the topics keep me engaged enough on my 45-minute drive home from work, one that I have been close to nodding off several times before listening to this podcast.

The format is splendid: sub-hour discussions with focused queer topics such as race, closets, asexuality, etc. The earnestness of Cody's dialogue is often punctuated with Neil's smartass quips, providing an entertaining dynamic that keeps me laughing. Guests are included as well, adding more spice to an already-vibrant show.

The rhetoric is presented in well-thought-out and researched dialogue, often peppered with improvisational speech. I've learned quite a bit from Bearded Fruit, but my favourite aspect is their ability to masterfully articulate concepts and arguments that I then spread forth in my daily life. Within the last couple months of listening, I've used their concise wording to explain or defend a position, where I would often struggle to cobble some words together.

Insightful and Important

I only listened to the episode, “Am I Doing ‘Gay’ Wrong?,” but I thought it was an incredible episode that was importantly insightful. I appreciate the commentary that you both provided on the gay community and the necessity to handle ourselves responsibly and to help educate one another. Thanks!
