    True Rest In Christ
    Hebrews 4

And God rested on the 7th day.
Rest is vital not just to your physical health but to your spiritual health as well. As much as we often seek rest, we fail at finding true rest. All of our needs are never truly and fully satisfied. In our reading of Hebrews today we hear a warning about true rest. For rest is a wonderful way that Scripture talks about God’s eternal paradise. Congregation of God, don't miss the opportunity to enter into God's rest.

    A Rebelling Heart
    Heb. 3:12–19

The journey of faith was never promised to be an easy one. The journey of faith is often connected to Israel's journey to the promised land. As a church, the community the author of Hebrews warns of the dangers we face. For, Israel rebelled against God as they faced the promised land in the wilderness. We are called to encourage and uplift each other. Why? Because God has given you a greater salvation than land and the time to act is today

Jesus Knows Your Weakness Hebrews 2:1-18

Jesus Knows Your Weakness Hebrews 2:1-18

    Jesus Knows Your Weaknesses
    October 3rd 2021
    Hebrews 2:1–18

Have you trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? Jesus knows your every weakness—Take it to the Lord in prayer. WHY?! Because He knows your every weakness and He has done something about it. He who created all things became lower than the angels to accomplish God’s goal so that you might be holy.

Jesus became the one and only perfect Son of Man and humbled Himself for you. He allowed Himself to suffer and die so that He could release you from your fears, redeem you from your sins, and be there for you when you suffer. Everything He did, He did as the pioneer of your salvation.

Jesus knows your every weakness and has done something about it.

The Whining of the Blessed BLSC Sermon

The Whining of the Blessed BLSC Sermon

    September 26th 2021

    Readings for the day
    11:4–6, 10–16, 24–29

When God provides everything that is needful… sometimes it is not what you want or when you want it.
Israel look at the food from heaven and the cloth that never wore out and the water that came from rocks and it just was not enough. Certainly, we would never complain like the Israelites, right?
Unfortunately, we too are often more proficient at itemizing our grievances than counting our blessings. The truth is, at times, lacking is the only sermon that gets our attention.
C.S. Lewis wrote: “We can rest contentedly in our sins and in our stupidities; and anyone who has watched gluttons shoveling down the most exquisite foods as if they did not know what they were eating, will admit that we can ignore even pleasure. But pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”
If your lacking is great join us as God speaks past our wants with a greater message.

As we finish up our series, we look at the reality that we often fail at our identity. Either we put doing as our identity or we fail to live out who we are. The good news for both is that Jesus has come to be the servant for both. We are now called to live this new life
