How Cancer Came To Save Her Life / Willow Star, (formerly known as Keri Vaca) shares Beautiful Second Act

    • Self-Improvement

After 26 years of marriage, two kids, a home in the heart of San Francisco, and what looked like the "perfect life," Keri Vaca left her marriage. Two days later she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, which the doctors said would take her life.

This interview is about one woman's fight to save her life, in more ways than one. She said she was dying way before her diagnosis, in the life she was in. So, much to the chagrin of some of her doctors, Keri chose many unconventional methods for treatment, she stayed true to her choice of leaving her marriage, and began a quest to change everything about her life...including her name.

Now going by Willow Star, this vivacious, and courageous woman has beaten the odds and is currently cancer free! She wrote a memoir about being in midlife, dating younger men through the app Tinder, and looking for love in all the wrong places.

Through it all, Willow has learned to love herself deeper, and more fully than she ever thought possible. She has embraced life in the most beautiful ways and created a YouTube Channel to help others understand how even with a cancer diagnosis, you can heal yourself not just physically, but emotionally.

Willow's book, Tinder & Tarot, will be out soon so watch for that.
