Become an IDOL: Instructional Design and Online Learning

This podcast has been so insightful in my discernment of reentering the workforce and going into instructional design. Information is clear and easy to understand. Especially appreciated the episodes with Christy Tucker and Nyla Spooner.

I’m a special education teacher of 24 years looking to transition to Instructional Design. I’m grateful to have found this resource and more grateful to Learn just how valuable teachers skills are to becoming an Instructional Designer. I hope to participate in an IDOL training soon!

I stumbled upon Dr. Robin's "Become and IDOL" podcast when I was very first learning about Instructional Design. The first episode I ever listened to was her interview with a former secondary teacher who transitioned into an instructional design role. As a secondary teacher looking to leave the classroom, I was so inspired and full of hope. I had been losing faith that I would ever find a job outside of education, but this podcast has made me so hopeful. I immediately looked her up for more information and found the IDOL Courses Academy. It sounds so cheesy, but this academy has truly changed my life. I am building a beautiful portfolio with the support of my mentors, coaches, and cohort and I am confident that I will find the perfect IDOL job soon. Thank you, Dr. Robin!
