    The Phases of First-Year Teaching

Teaching is challenging. There's no doubt about that. As the holidays approach, your job may even feel more difficult than ever. If you are counting down the days until winter break and desperately need some time off, or maybe even considering quitting, that is very normal. Your feelings about teaching will ebb and flow throughout the year. In fact, you will hear how common it is to experience these feelings as I share the phases of first-year teachers' attitudes towards teaching from August through July.

She’s Got it!

Lori is great! I’m in my 5th year of teaching elem and she provides such great ideas, practical skills and knowledge to use each day! She talks ALL things teaching and gives a true perspective of what new teaching is like/about. This podcast is a true winner and is exactly what I need as a refresher. Even as a 5th year, I have learned new tricks and strategies. I wish I had discovered this show sooner! Lori is positive and fun to listen to each week. If you need that virtual teacher mentor, Lori is your woman. I highly recommend this show!

Parents are teachers too

As a first time parent, I spend a considerable amount of time thinking about how best to develop her strengths and nurture growth. The ideas and strategies are helpful for all parents to consider not just at home, but when thinking about their child’s school day experience and the experience of their teacher* all great things to keep in mind. Know better do better!
