What is Credentialing and why is it so important? As a single word it has emerged to define an important process! The act of credentialing verifies your staff’s ability to legally provide the service offered to a patient (based on Federal and State mandates) and contractually meet the defined requirements of your payers. There can be no shortcuts in credentialing, but the process often seems like a labyrinth.
