Welcome to the Being Fearless podcast! In this podcast we work on facing our fears, so we can live our best lives! I grew up with a chronic illness (ulcerative colitis) and for most of my life I allowed it to define me, hold me back, and quite frankly I lived in fear of all the things. I had sever anxiety and it ruled my life. I finally decided enough is enough and dove into the world of personal development. The truth is the only person holding you back is you. It's okay to be scared. Do it anyway!

    Being Fearless with Sara Richard

This week I have a conversation with Sara Richard. Sara Richard is an Eisner and Ringo Award nominated fine artist and illustrator as well as a writer of short stories currently creating in the forever Halloween town of Salem, Massachusetts. She is most known for illustrating comic book covers for companies such as IDW Publishing, Oni Press, Marvel, Dynamite Comics, Action Lab Ent.; with other illustration work for DC Collectables, StormKing, The Witch House in Salem, MA., and Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. Her art can also be seen at the Historic Oakland Cemetery’s Visitor Center in Atlanta and has been printed in British VOGUE magazine and The World of Interiors magazine.

Sara gave some great tips for new artists as well as seasoned ones. Sara knew she wanted to be an artist early in life and never gave up on her dream to do it professionally. She talks about comic con, her "process" and what it's like to travel alone. It's a fun conversation and I hope you enjoy it!

    Stop shoulding all over yourself!

    Stop shoulding all over yourself!

In this episode I wanted to tell you it's going to be ok! I keep hearing people saying "I should be... (insert the thing)". I'm home so I "should be doing...". I got stuck in that trap to. I told myself that if I didn't do a specific project I never would and that is not the case. I think Rachel Hollis said it best when she said "stop shoulding all over yourself". YOU get to decide what you should be doing! It's ok to feel how you are feeling right now, we are in the middle of a pandemic. There is no blue print on how to get through this!  Your feelings are valid (even if they are negative) just remember, you are not your thoughts. I talked a bit about my recent struggle and a victory I've had. You are always going to have struggles and victories, my message today is to focus on the victories and take it one day at a time.

Corona Talk: financial advice and things to do when you find yourself bored at home!

Corona Talk: financial advice and things to do when you find yourself bored at home!

In this solocast I talk about what is going on in the world. Let's face it, it's kinda scary. One of the biggest fears people have is the fear of the unknown. We want to be able to control outcomes and right now we can't. We can only stay home to prevent spreading the virus. For some of us that means we don't have jobs. I provide some resources to help you during this tough time and I quote some advice from Dave Ramsey. I also offer up some things to do if you find yourself bored. I give my top 5 movie marathons, my 5 favorite books and my 3 favorite TV shows! We are not alone, we are in this together and we will get through it!
