In this episode of the Benefit of the Doud podcast, hosts Adam and Cliff discuss the upcoming 1-month hiatus the show is taking. They also dive into T2 and Bluesky, two of the most prominent Twitter replacements.

When in Doud, Ask the experts about Apple Vision Pro with Nick Sutrich of Android Central
Welcome to the Benefit of the Doud podcast, where we bring you the latest technology news, product reviews, and funny commentary every week. I’m your host Adam Doud, and today I’m joined by Nick Sutrich, Senior Content Producer for Smartphones and VR at Android Central. Nick has been covering VR since its inception and he’s here to give us his impressions of Apple’s new AR/VR/Spatial computing headset, the Apple Vision Pro.
The Apple Vision Pro is a radical new entry into the VR market, with a sleek design, powerful specs, and a hefty price tag. It features a 4K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 12MP ultra-wide camera for passthrough and AR, spatial audio with Dolby Atmos support, and a custom Apple A15X chip for high-performance gaming and apps. It also comes with a pair of wireless controllers that support hand tracking and haptic feedback. The Apple Vision Pro costs $3,499 and is expected to launch in early 2024.
Nick and I will discuss how the Apple Vision Pro compares to other VR headsets like the Meta Quest 2 and the PlayStation VR2, what kind of games and experiences we can expect on it, and whether it’s worth the premium price. We’ll also talk about the future of VR and AR in general, and how Apple’s entry into this space will affect the industry.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this episode of the Benefit of the Doud podcast. And don’t forget to subscribe to our channel, leave a comment, and hit that like button if you enjoyed this video. Thanks for watching!
