Influencers (second time as Tragedy)

During the first Trump presidency I produced a radio drama with Jonathan Mitchell at The Truth Podcast about camp MAGA. In 2017 the idea of Trump locking up Americans in camps was a bit silly… that could never happen here? But in 2024, as private prison stocks soar to new heights, things like a little different. Perhaps Marx got it wrong. Perhaps the repetitions of History are both farcical and tragic.

Reality Check!

Earlier this year I read a book called The End of Reality by the writer Jonathan Taplin. The book is a meditation on the outsize power and influence of four billionaires: Peter Thiel, Mark Zuckerberg, Marc Andreesen, and Elon Musk. After the election I rang Jonathan up for a special post election conversation about his book and our new Oligarchy. Interesting episode but....stop turo tax from lying about "free" services

Come on... you have an episode based on conspiracy theories but allow advertising of a corporation who lying about free tax assistance and has an monopoly on how we are supposed to do our taxes..... get B corporations, owned by those who work for the organization, not green washing, and are not lying and in bed corruption. They should be held countable for their minipulations. You know better so do better! ☝🏼❤️

It was an interesting show, but the host’s insistence on pronouncing “the” before a consonant as “thee” drove me utterly mad. You don’t pronounce “the” as THEE for emphasis; and even if that is your excuse, WHY ARE YOU EMPHASIZING EVERY OTHER WORD?? You see? He’s driven me MAD! I JUST CAN’T TAKE ANY MORE!!
