Episode 45: Equipment 202
In this week's episode, Bain and Stone go through all the "other stuff" they missed in their first Equipment episode, including wraps, sleeves, shoes, belts, and miscellaneous. In the "PLUSA Throwback" segment, presented by Deathwish Barbell, the boys went all the way back to the May 1982 issue, which had Bill Toscas on the cover. The issue also had an interesting letter from then-USPF President Conrad Cotter, shedding some light on the formation of the USPF and its separation from the AAU.
S&A Interviews #11: Daniel Tinajero
This week, Bain and Stone have a chance to chat with Daniel Tinajero, powerlifting coach, and long-time powerlifter. Dan has been competing since high school, and has competed in the WPO for the past couple of years after overcoming catastrophic knee injury. Dan tells his story in the sport, how he rehabbed his injury in spite of his physical therapists, and his coaching philosophy for his in-person and online clients. In the "PLUSA Throwback" segment, brought to you by Death Wish Barbell, the boys discuss the February 2008 issue, which has "Super D" Donnie Thompson on the cover.
Episode 44: Devil's Advocate - "Powerlifting should be drug free!"
In this week's episode, Stone puts on his debater hat and argues for the position that "Powerlifting should be totally drug free!" Bain and Stone argue over the "gold standard" in powerlifting for a while before giving their honest views on drug testing in powerlifting. In the "PLUSA Throwback" segment, *sponsored by Death Wish Barbell*, the boys go through highlights from the March 1997 issue with Joey Almodvar on the cover.
Episode 43: Traveling for a Meet / 2020 APF Nationals

Additionally, they both gave their breakdown of the recent APF/AAPF Nationals down in Florida. In the "PLUSA Throwback" segment, they discuss highlights for the April 2005 issue, which had results from the 2005 WPO Super Finals.
Episode 42: Review of "The Gift of Injury"

The book details Carroll's recovery from a severe lower back injury that he was able to rehabilitate with the help of Dr. Stu McGill. In a monster "PLUSA Throwback" segment, the boys discuss the July 1994 issue, which featured Rickey Dale Crain on the cover.

Love listening to these discussions. Hope you guys keep doing this and I look forward to coming to AAPF/APF meets.
Superior content. Hands down.
I just started listening to this podcast last week with Episode 3 because I love hearing about the history of powerlifting and have now started back with Episode 1. As a classic raw competitor, I still love hearing about single and multi-ply and the history of both. This podcast has been refreshing so far, as many others I come across are just people interviewing the same guests and getting the same stories. Stoked to have found this and be able to add it to my subscriptions.
