Michael Keaton is “Jack Frost” w/ Bret Berg

Michael Keaton, before he was “The Founder,” he was “Jack Frost.” We talk to one of the writers of the film and review the movie!

My friends a frequent guests Paul Sullivan and Jeff Cesario talk about about Jack Frost. We were recording an episode about “The fish that saved pittsburgh and Jeff drops the bomb that he co-wrote “jack Frost!!!” what the what!??! Jeff, by the way, wrote for the larry sanders show and was the comic that was always bumped from the show. So Jeff gives context and behind the scenes stories.

But first! Brett Berg, who used to program films for the legendary Cinefamily theater and is now a hot shot at Alamo Drafthouse Theaters in LA, talks about his take on Jack frost. We were at a party he threw where he showed a 45 minute version of Jack Frost. He said he felt like the showing the whole film would pissed people off, so he just showed the good parts. He also did an edit of “Silent night deadly night 5: the toy maker” with Micky Rooney. We didn’t get a chance to talk about it. As you can hear, there was a party going on outside, so it was hard to do a longer interview.

We have a sponsor, Tee Public. It’s great quality cool t-shirts. Go to Proudlyresents.com/shirts for star wars life day, breaking bad, the room an dother themed christmas shirts. Also a great place to get gifts. They are running a sale right now. So their normal decent price is now low. I love their shirts and I was able to curate the ones I think you’ll dig too. I hope you liked the show. Go to Proudlyresents.com/fish to hear the full interview with Paul and Jeff. Besides tearing about “The Fish that saved Pittsburgh they talk a lot about writing for comics like Dennis miller and Garry Shandling. Jeff came on this show a few times playing his very funny character, chet the sports guy. I’ll have links to those episodes and the many funny reviews Paul has done on our show.

    Ed Salazar’s Punk Trump Christmas

    Ed Salazar’s Punk Trump Christmas

Comedian (Comedy Central) Edward Salazar impersonates punk icon Jello Biafra bringing down the Trump administration. It’s a hilarious take on “T’was the Night Before Christmas.”

This BONUS EPISODE was recorded during the “Giant Tuesday Night of Amazing Inventions and Also There is a Game’s 15th Annual Holiday Special!”

Listen to another hilarious sketch from that show, with Adam Felber and Andres du Bouchet.

    About Jello Biafra on Wikipedia:

Jello Biafra (born Eric Reed Boucher; June 17, 1958) is the former lead singer and songwriter for San Francisco punk rock band Dead Kennedys, and is currently a musician and spoken word artist. After he left the Dead Kennedys, he took over the influential independent record label Alternative Tentacles, which he had co-founded in 1979 with Dead Kennedys bandmate East Bay Ray. Although now focused primarily on spoken word, he has continued as a musician in numerous collaborations.

Politically, Biafra is a member of the Green Party of the United States[1] and actively supports various political causes. He ran for the party’s Presidential nomination in 2000, finishing a distant second to Ralph Nader.[2] He is a staunch believer in a free society, who utilizes shock value and advocates direct actionand pranksterism in the name of political causes.[1] Biafra is known to use absurdist media tactics, in the leftist tradition of the Yippies, to highlight issues of civil rights and social justice.

Biafra became a spoken word artist in January 1986 with a performance at University of California, Los Angeles. In his performance he combined humor with his political beliefs, much in the same way that he did with the lyrics to his songs. Despite his continued spoken word performances, he did not begin recording spoken word albums until after the disbanding of the Dead Kennedys.

His ninth spoken word album, In the Grip of Official Treason, was released in October 2006.

Biafra was also featured in the British band Pitchshifter‘s song a title="Deviant (Pitchshifte...

As you can tell from my voice, which is more nasal than usual, I’m sick! So I’d listen to the whole show at 1.25 speed. I sound normal that way.

For the holidays, I collected different movie reviews for each denomination. As you know there’s a war on christmas!

Growing up in public school, we were told that because of “the chanukah people,” and not the separation of Church and State, we couldn’t just sing Christmas carols in class. We had to sing chanukah carols. You know all those famous chanukah carols. Like Dreidel, dreidel…

In the spirit of that music teacher who must be dead by

now, we have a diverse show. We have my brother Mike  Spiegelman ripping apart 8 crazy nights, Jimmy pardo, todd levin and Sharon houston talking “Kirk cameron’s saving christmas.

First, to be politically correct, we celebrate Life day. Here’s a review from a very early episode that’s not on itunes anymore. It’s me, obs, actor Matt Swanson and writer FM Demarco.

    FM speaks first –

    Then it’s Sherilyn’s ( ) review of “it’s a wonderful life.”

I’ve been doing this podcast for a long time, maybe 6 years. Recently, since having a baby, it’s been tougher to put out episodes. Every time I’m about to quit, I get a little glimmer of hope to keep going. There’s a company that will edit my shows, cutting down on production,

    “Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas” Live w/@JimmyPardo, @ToddLevin and @SharonHouston

    “Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas” Live w/@JimmyPardo, @ToddLevin and @SharonHouston

Jimmy Pardo,  Todd Levin  (Conan) and comedian Sharon Houston  (Punk’d) rip apart the worst Christmas movie ever made, “Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas.”

Listen to more Christmas movie reviews Itunes  or RSS.

Recorded live at the Improv Lab in Hollywood, CA.The war on the war on Christmas continues! For Saving Christmas Kirk Cameron grabbed a camcorder and a bunch of college students and did their best to fill 80 minutes. It’s a variety show of sermons, backwards logic, mumbo jumbo and “comedy.”

Kirk puts his name upfront on “Saving Christmas” like a Tyler Perry movie, just a lot less plot.

Full disclosure, there were three people in the audience and four people on stage. I never planned on selling out the place, in fact, that was three more people than I expected to show up. There was my friend John Santry. He’s game for anything though.

I, Host Adam Spiegelman,  was standing outside the Improv comedy club with Jimmy Pardo waiting for Sharon Houston when two women in their late 20’s got out of an Uber. I thought, “Oh crap. I hope they aren’t coming to my show.” They were. They were day drinking and saw the live “Saving Christmas” online. I just felt pressure all of a sudden to perform for two drunks. But they were very nice and of course, we ended up talking to them.

    From IMDB.com

Kirk is enjoying the annual Christmas party extravaganza thrown by his sister until he realizes he needs to help out Christian, his brother-in-law, who has a bad case of the bah-humbugs. Kirk’s fresh look at Christmas provides Christians the chance to see Christ is where He has always been: at the center of our Christmas celebrations and traditions.

Kirk Cameron isn’t “saving Christmas” he’s desecrating it

17 November 2014 | by Sunny Shell – See all my reviews

What’s wrong with this movie? There’s not enough time or space to cover all of it, so I’ll just share the main reasons why anyone who loves Jesus, His Word and His people should or would never watch this mockery of Christmas.

“Saving Christmas” is in direct violation of Romans 14:5-6 and 22-23, twists Scripture, reconstructs history and encourages gluttony.

There’s nothing in this film that is “wholesome” and good for anyone, believer or non-believer.

Let’s save others from Kirk and crew’s version of Christ’s first coming and celebrate (if your conscience allows) with reverence, awestruck wonder and with the true and great joy that envelopes all who are humbled by and grateful for God’s most amazing Gift–Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God.

    “An American Carol”

    “An American Carol”

Comedians Janine Brito and Graham Smith & I review  “An American Carol.” One of the guys who made “Airplane” wears his politics on his sleeve and his lunch on his shirt with this terrible political comedy.

    From Wikipedia:

An American Carol is a 2008 American comedy film directed by David Zuckerand starring Kevin Farley. In some other countries the film is known as Big Fat Important Movie.  Presented from a conservative-leaning perspective, the film is a parody of liberal filmmaker Michael Moore that “lampoons contemporary American culture,

particularly Hollywood.” It uses the framework of A Christmas Carol but moves the setting of the story from Christmas to Independence Day. The screenplay is written by Myrna Sokoloff and Zucker. The supporting cast includesKelsey Grammer, Jon Voight, Dennis Hopper, Trace Adkins, Gary Coleman,Jillian Murray and Leslie Nielsen. The film was released on October 3, 2008.

    “Christmas with the Kranks”

    “Christmas with the Kranks”

Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis star in “Christmas with the Kranks.” It’s my brother’s favorite good/bad holiday film. Mike tells me all the time. I hear it all the time! Finally watched it. It’s a film about a couple who decide to not do Christmas, which is apparently illegal in their small white block.

Mike and I recap this Christmas crap with ho ho holiday cheer.Special guest: My niece Molly! She runs around and is just being cute.
