No fluff- all substance.
Being fed spiritually is what I needed and that is what I get at Bethel Downtown. I began visiting this church just before many things in my life began to unravel. That was God’s provision. He knew that I needed the meat of the Word instead of the milk. I was raised in a traditional East Texas Baptist church where I was not challenged to dig into the Bible. “Just listen to the preacher- memorize the Roman Road and don’t have sex until you are married.” I checked off the boxes and continued to live by works alone- not by faith. I am in my 40s now and truly being spiritually challenged for the first time in my life. And I love it. Because I am confident that no matter what trials I WILL face, Christ has come before me already and done the hard work. I highly recommend listening to this podcast when you cannot physically be in a local church fellowship. When you can physically attend a church- then get into a church that is Biblically-based and theologically sound.
