How To Talk To Women About STIs - MTP 524

Co-Host Robert Johnson (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/shameless) My first-time guest Robert Johnson is the founder of Shameless Care, a sexual health telemedicine company focused on STI testing and medications. That alone makes him the right guy to finally do a show with on the topic of how to talk about sexually transmitted diseases/infections with women. But as it turns out, Robert has some street cred. His personal story is actually what led to the founding of the company. So first of all, what is it that makes us as men so reticent to have, well...necessary conversations with women about sex? What were we taught in school (and perhaps even church) about sex that beset us with an awkward mindset about it for life? Next why it's true you're not really "damaged goods" if you have an STI (hint: almost everyone who is sexually active is infected with something). What should we do to test ourselves properly, and indeed to protect ourselves from getting STIs to begin with? How are women likely to respond to the "STI talk" in ways we probably aren't expecting? When is the right time to have an STI conversation with a woman...and the wrong time? What can we know about a woman's STI risk by her "body count", or how clean she looks and seems? And what about the HIV/AIDS situation nowadays? What are the real-world risks, and how should you talk about that? Overall, I have to say this show ended up being at least as much fun as it is necessary, which is always a good thing. Women Want Your Outrageous Self - MTP 523

Co-Host Dr. Dain Heer (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/dain) In this logical follow-up to last week's show with Emily, my first-time guest Dr. Dain Heer claims that all of us are authentically at least a little bit outrageous. What's more, being you is the ultimate rebellion. And the world needs that from you...now. Especially women. You see, this is a major part of what keeps you from becoming the dreaded "Gen-Eric" guy. Not feeling it? That's pretty normal...but the truth is that your particular brand of "outrageous" nature is probably different from someone else's, and your authentic interpretation of it is what counts. We start off by talking about Dain's book Return Of The Gentleman, and how most of us as men are honorable enough to do the right thing, while being powerful enough to do the hard things that aren't always so pleasant. And yes, for men being sexual beings is absolutely normal and right. How has a man's authenticity become more important than ever in the age of AI? How does being our "outrageous" authentic selves enable women to trust us more, not less? And how did men start losing our inherent audacity to begin with? Most of all, how to we reframe and reclaim being our authentic selves even in the slightest of outrageous ways, and find out first-hand how radically and powerfully it affects our success with women? Here's a hint...if you're a naysayer who believes the deck is stacked against you, that's the first narrative that needs work. But truly, this isn't something you have to do, it's something you GET to do. Our Most Authentic Self - MTP 522

Co-Host Emily McKay (https://www.deservewhatyouwant.com) Nobody in Western culture wants to come off as fake to anyone. Authenticity rules, especially if we expect to build meaningful, connected relationships...especially with MOTOS. But the tricky question has always been about how to know when you're being your true self. What context is that most likely to occur in...and with whom especially? Well, the hot take this show is built around is that we just might be our most authentic self when we're around those we feel most comfortable with. That's a heavy statement...especially if you don't exactly like who you tend to become around family, best friends and other loved ones. But is it necessarily true? And even if it is, is it necessarily a bad thing that we can express who we really are and what we really feel with those we're closest to, even if it's occasionally unpleasant? Similarly, is it not a good thing to respond plainly and truthfully when they interact with us? And what about "reading the room" and tailoring our behaviors, and even our mindset, to specific situations? Is it "fake" to be adaptive? As it turns out, Emily and I were reminded of this topic and the value of discussing it after a legitimately weird occurrence this past week. We got the perhaps once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with each other as total strangers--even though we've been together for over twenty years. How in the world does that happen? Stay tuned for the story...and why it matters. Get Better With Women While You Sleep - MTP 521

Co Host Ryan Hurd (https://mountaintoppodcast.com/luciddreaming) My first-time guest is a dream researcher and educator with dreamstudies.org. What if you had a sandbox for practicing with women...with zero real-life consequences? And what if you didn't have to find ANY new time in your busy schedule for it? I mean it sounds crazy, but if you could open up those hours of built-in "downtime" in human existence when you're asleep to get better with women, what would the ramifications be? I mean, it's not like you'd be too busy to get to it. After all, you're asleep. What we're talking about here is learning the art (and science) of lucid dreaming, and harnessing the skill to go anywhere, meet anyone, and do anything...all while you're asleep. So what is lucid dreaming, anyway? How do you learn it? And what exactly can you be capable of in your dream world? Obviously, the potential for practicing skills with women in a "sandbox" with zero real-world impact should be intriguing to any man. But how does what happens in your dreams actually translate to real-world results with women? And what are some of the unexpected positive consequences? What else can lucid dreaming be used to get better at? Can you build neighborhoods and sort of an entire Roblox or Second Life kind of existence in your dream world that you can return to again and again...even with the same women? What are some of the most outlandish ways lucid dreaming can improve your overall quality of life? And is flying better than sex? Hey, if you're asleep almost a third of your life, why not maximize it to your advantage?
