A podcast where we decide which movies are better than the greatest movie ever made: Fight Club.
Sexy Beast - #54
No folks, "Sexy Beast" doesn't refer to one or both of the hosts of this podcast. In fact, we're doing Jonathan Glazer's film "Sexy Beast" this week and it's a wild one! The director of Under The Skin's first feature film follows a trio of British gangsters getting together for one last job. Better than Fight Club? You be the judge!
Also discussed are the 2021 Golden Globes, Enchanted, My Best Friend's Wedding, and Matt talks comics!
Nomadland - #53
Folks we come to you this week to discuss a new film that is sure to receive lots of awards attention later this year, Chloe Zhao's Nomadland! Does the film inspire the boys to abandon their earthly possessions and move west? No but if things continue the way they've been going, we'll both be living in our cars.
Also we talk The Departed, Friends From College, and Matt talks to us about the latest X-Men comics news!
Muppet Treasure Island - #52
Welcome back, folks! Better Then Fight Club makes its triumphant return! We're talking about the Muppets, baby! Treasure Island, specifically. Stream it all on Disney+ or just listen to us wax poetically about those wacky puppets. But is it better than Fight Club? We decide!
Also Matt Brassil is signing on as the permanent co-host! Ian has left us! Get used to it, baby! Welcome Matt!
The American Friend - #51
We're closin' out 2020 with a banger. One year of Better Than Fight Club! We're talkin' Wim Wenders' 1977 film "The American Friend."
Maybe you've never seen it before but check it out. Just a tight, stylish thriller. We also look back at a year of Better Than Fight Club! Thanks for listening!
Mank - #50
Holy moly folks, we've made it to 50 episodes. A golden milestone. If you've ever listened and enjoyed an episode, we offer you our humble thanks. Here's to another 50!
And what a better film to do this week than our patron saint David Fincher's latest: "Mank." Gary Oldman plays Herman Mankiewicz, the co-writer of Citizen Kane and things get old timey!
Also: A squirrel fell through Cameron's ceiling, we feel old, goal setting, we love the Royals!
Time And Tide (w/ Rainey Dalven) - #49
We take another look at Hong Kong cinema this week on Better Than Fight Club and who better to guide us than our friend Rainey Dalven! Our first repeat guest attempts to explain the complex plot of Tsui Hark's 2000 film: "Time And Tide." Action, action, and more action!
It's a wild ride. We also give you a full Thanksgiving Recap, confronting construction site foremen, and fashion.

I’ve never seen Cameron cook,
But he really looks like the guy on Ratatouille. So, I’d imagine he can make a decent gabagool. At the very least, he’s definitely controlled by rats.
Podcast is also good. Tenouttaten.
Really nice contrast in their vocal qualities
