Episode 74: Otakon? More like Odor-Con, amirite?

Come back with us to September 2023 when Tice, Jay, and Becca took stock of their summer adventures. Jay is riding high in his new Jeep and getting in touch with Jeep culture through the extremely wholesome phenomenon of "ducking". Tice is taking his first shots at stand-up paddleboarding, re-assessing his gym goals and STILL taking tentative looks at yoga (through sketchy online ads). And Becca remembers some of the hiccups from her adventures at Otakon with friend of the pod Ahryel Tinker, sharing tips for anyone going to a summer convention along the way. Also in this episode, Tice also gets ducked, but in a different way (at a Popeye's!), Becca is planning her next tattoo, and Tice asks Jay to redo the opening, which ends in mass confusion.

Then she delights us with stories about Jay making her laugh uncontrollably while watching him in The Elephant Man, the audience laughing inappropriately at her performance in Dangerous Liaisons, many ways of screaming "Victor!!!" in Frankenstein, and we cannot forget "Your Mother's Butt"! Later on, Jay turns the tables on Tice and Becca in Family Feud...can Tice help Erin win the big prize, and will Becca put up with it?

Of course, she gives us some insight into her experience playing Violet Newstead in "9 to 5" as well as Pennywise in a recent production of "Urinetown"...and she reveals from personal experience, that yes, colleges do sometimes send rejection letters in error. Also, Becca has a new tattoo, Jay has decided Tice is "sexually active in the community" for some reason, and...True Confessions!

Episode 71: Dilbert Kicked Us in the Balls

Episode 71: Dilbert Kicked Us in the Balls

Our seventy-first episode begins with Becca considering a small cat tattoo and Jay trying to talk her into a big one. Tice mulls over getting a tat but wonders about the cost; Jay serves up info. Job-hunting Jay then shares a video of tips (from Bryan Creely of A Life After Layoff) on how to maximize your results from LinkedIn, with everyone weighing in with reactions. After that, Tice takes us down the Dilbert-hole with much more than you wanted to know about creator Scott Adams and reasons why the comic strip has been permanently pulled from most newspapers. To give you a little taste, some of the terms that come up are "manosphere", "sock puppetry", "beta-cuck", "sheeple", and "Dilber-ito". Finally, Tice tries to hold on to his title of "Stripper" in a round of comics history trivia!

Such a blast!

I just started listening to this podcast, and I must say, it is such a blast! It’s like sitting down with friends and having a hilarious conversation. As a former theater geek (still one at heart), a fan of talking about funny bodily functions and an avid movie watcher, I highly recommend this podcast!

Supporting Artists and Life Enjoyment (with a hint of Naughty)

As someone who is missing theatre and performing arts during COVID, this podcast makes me feel like I am chatting backstage with friends again!

If you like community theatre, performing arts, binge-watching shows, cosplay, relationships, astrology, and things you enjoy about life (like beverages, sauces, shower products...although they may or may not be all at the same time), this podcast is for you!

Don’t listen around the kids, because the topics are PG-13 to Rated R. Nothing is cruel. It is light-hearted, supportive, and good fun.
