Between Pages & Friends

As a first time TOG reader I have been loving this podcast. Every week I get so excited to jump into another episode with Jon, Con, Lauren and Kyle. They each bring something unique to the pod. Jon’s chapter recaps are hilarious and Con’s pronunciation guides are so helpful. Jon and Con do such a good job of giving their reactions while not spoiling anything. But as someone who also hasn’t finished the series I relate to Kyle and Lauren the most. I feel like I’m guessing theories right along side them. Kyle’s uncanny predictions keep me on my toes, and I’ve been on gold/green eye watch right along with Lauren. Honestly they all have me cracking up every week. And I just love feeling like I’m an honorary friend💕. I can’t wait to finish the series with them and continue reading along with whatever is up next.

This pod is so much fun to listen to. I read the books 6 months ago but I love reliving it through you all and also got my friend who is reading the series now into your pod. The details you pick up on and analyze, the fun predictions, and the cry counter are all amazing. But I am with Lauren I know its YA but I need more romance. Can’t wait for the tandem read!

I have been following Jon’s journey reading ACOTAR and crescent city on Instagram, and this past weekend I decided to start this podcast while working on a project, and wow I haven’t had this much fun listening to a podcast in a long time! Pretty sure people I passed on my walk with my doggo the other day were giving me weird looks because I have been LOLing at some of the comments you guys make (most recently, the comment about imagining a hawk sidling up to celaena in the window). I am consistently so impressed with the level of non spoilers that is maintained even when Lauren and Kyle are spot on with their predictions for coming chapters. I’m currently only on the second Heir of Fire episode, but predict I will finish every currently released episode by the end of the week, and I can’t wait for more! Now I’m debating starting another reread, even though it’s barely been a year since my last one… we’ll see!!

Love the podcast. Can’t wait for the new episode each week, I love to listen on my drive home from work. I finished the series this spring and this is great way for me to stay in the world I wasn’t ready to leave. They make me laugh, sometimes almost cry, and hit my steering wheel in shock over some of the crazily accurate predictions (can’t believe how good some of them are, iykyk).
