This is the behind-the-scenes audio diary of our journey to take our business to better than net zero carbon emissions. Who are we? The business is eCommerce MasterPlan - we run podcasts (eCommerce MasterPlan and Keep Optimising) and virtual summits. The host is Chloe Thomas, founder of eCommerce MasterPlan and eCommerce Marketing specialist. This show is a little rougher around the edges than our main shows! We will be sharing how we make eCommerce MasterPlan a NetZero business, and then take it beyond net zero.     Cloud Audit - Switching from Zoom to Whereby

    On this episode of Beyond Net Zero Journey, host Chloe Thomas explores her recent transition to a more sustainable video conferencing solution. Recognizing that using video conferencing platforms like Zoom can contribute to carbon emissions, Chloe references Mike Burners Lee's book, "How Bad Are Bananas," (episode 3) which estimates that using Zoom emits around 50 grams of carbon per hour on a desktop.     Final Sustainable Business Banking Update

    On this episode of Beyond Net Zero Journey, host Chloe Thomas provides the final update on her mission to change her business banking set up so it's better for the planet. She believes that she has reached the law of diminishing returns with the banking project, so it's time to move on to the next caron reduction project... the cloud.     It's time to start the next section of our Supplier Audit... and the new focus is The Cloud. How are we going to tackle reducing the carbon footprint of our cloud storage? Chloe's outlining her plan of attack, which includes tackling it in three distinct areas: One - Storage what files are we storing that we shouldn't be?what files are unnecessarily stored in multiple places?what processes can we put in place for the future to limit file duplication AND automate future deletion?
