Break Out of Playing Small and Build a Lifestyle that Supports You

Break Out of Playing Small and Build a Lifestyle that Supports You

    > When you feel good, you light up everything around you and your life seems just that much easier to be in. You have a positive outlook on what you have going on, you fuel your body better, & you take care of yourself as a priority that we are.

    > When you play small for the sake of others, your mind, body, and spirit play small too. You gravitate towards negative thoughts. You let those good habits you've built up, slack. You live in a state of shame.

It is human nature to have ebbs and flows and busy seasons when "things" get in the way of prioritizing your basic needs. Thankfully, we all get the chance to regain control and step up our quality of life.

In today's episode I talk about what playing small can do to us physically and how if we let it, our goals and desires slip up. We are all human, and there is no shame in living in one of those ebbs, as I said, it's natural. BUT, we all have choices to snap ourselves out of the slump and lean into our habits to build back up a lifestyle that aligns with the desires we are longing for.

One step, one choice at a time. I'm here for you, encouraging you along. ❤️

Blowing up the Food & People Labels with Ag Entrepreneur Emily Matzke

Blowing up the Food & People Labels with Ag Entrepreneur Emily Matzke

Today's guest is Emily Matzke, agvocate, entrepreneur, and Your Farmer Friend!

Emily became passionate about agriculture in college and with her past work experiences, had the eye opener to bridge the gap between consumers and ag producers (farmers). She believes it is just as crucial for producers to understand their consumers and vice versa. Producers can be empathic to their consumers and preconceived notions of their products, understand their buying patterns, concerns, and help clear up any misconceptions.

Emily is a breath of fresh Wisconsin farm air! She has found a way to be more involved in agriculture and in her boyfriend's family farm by creating Prairie Raised Beef. Emily utilizes her social channels to educate & market to consumers so they understand what they are consuming and purchasing. She helps consumers understand what is in their food by going beyond the label.

50 I Healing from Within: Going Beyond Surface-Level Support to Address the Root of Your Illness

50 I Healing from Within: Going Beyond Surface-Level Support to Address the Root of Your Illness

Per audience request, I've recorded a solo convo about my journey on finding holistic/alternative/functional/integrative healthcare options. First of all, let's clarify what those mean. Those said practitioners practice focusing on discovering the root cause rather than treating a symptom. Functional medicine centers on the idea that one condition may have caused many conditions. Integrative medicine uses a combination of therapies and lifestyle changes to treat and heal.

Whereas, traditional "conventional" Western medical practitioners treat symptoms and diseases using drugs, radiation, or surgery.

Depending on your needs will depend on what you are seeking.

There are various options out there, but sometimes in our rural American areas, we are in short supply of options available. I recommend:

Get curious. You should feel comfortable asking your healthcare provider any and all questions when it comes to your life. If those needs aren't being met, you owe it to yourself to seek other options. You are not "stuck" with your provider til death do you part. Your healthcare doesn't have to work like marriage.
Get referrals. Ask people you trust who they use for 'XYZ.' You obviously want to find a provider that aligns with what you are seeking. If someone has a great referral for a foot doctor and you are having issues with your endocrine system, keep looking.
Get creative. If you live far from your ideal provider, ask if they offer phone or video appointments with patients. If not, ask them for a referral for someone in your area. You don't know what you don't know.

My story isn't linear, and neither will yours. Trust your intuition if this is something for you. It might be or it might be someday down the road. There isn't a deadline, but remember you and your wellness is worth working with someone you trust and who advocates for you.

    PRIMALLY PURE:

One step into living healthier is examining what you are putting on your body. Check your skincare and most important - the ingredients in your D.O. Yep, the most basic products we use on our skin every day, (well, I hope you are using D.O. daily!), contain several harmful chemicals. I made the switch to Primally Pure's D.O. and I feel comfortable starting my girlies out on a great product without the harm. Check out their site for many different "flavors"

    WANTING MORE?:

I welcome you to explore ways for us to work together here. Depending on what your needs are, you'll find different options I offer. Not seeing what you hoped? Please DM me and connect. That is my favorite part of my role as a coach is connecting with you & finding ways to serve you better!
