This conversation was a wild f*cking ride. So much so, that nearly a week later I am STILL processing all that took place!

We covered it all, and I mean ALL: courage in the face of censorship, courage in the face of your own BS, life beyond cancel culture, the sneaky workings of self-sabotage, refusing to dehumanise other people...& SO MUCH MORE. I mean...words alone cannot convey how important this conversation is. See for yourself!

LIVE SHOW announcement: No more outrage

LIVE SHOW announcement: No more outrage

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, I’ll be hosting a very special & intimate LIVE recording of my podcast Beyond the Self.

On Saturday 18th of June you’ll be able to find me at the International Women’s Podcast festival (Kings Place, London, Kings Cross - 6:45pm) where I’ll be joined on stage by author, educator, historian, creator of Smarter in Seconds- Blair Imani (@blairimani).

We’ll be having a free flowing conversation exploring the importance of Choosing integrity & humility over outrage on demand, moving away from self-sabotage, and thinking about how we can encourage empathy and understanding when having difficult conversations.

    JOIN ME IN-PERSON!

If you know me well, you’ll know that I don’t, and refuse to, mince my words. But I also believe that respect, humility, and a willingness to learn- are not only the bare minimum but they are a necessary foundation for effective communication.

This is what shapes everything I do, and my podcast is no exception. I’m also really excited to have us both serve as a reminder of why viewpoint diversity matters.

If you’re looking for an unfiltered approach to personal development and the philosophy of life - you’ll be in the right place.

I needed this

I desperately needed this conversation. Africa is brave and honest and warm.

A treasure!!!

Soothing yet challenging, comforting yet humbling, encouraging yet audacious, straightforward yet gentle. Africa draws me in with how authentic and honest she is in the way she expresses the truth about herself and the truth about the topics of discussion/ insights. She’ll push you to take responsibility for yourself, while at the same time recognizing how you are part of the society. The content is clearly structured and both thoughtful and practical. Thank you Africa for putting this out. Keep flourishing!
