As well as being a national treasure, the singer-songwriter Bic Runga is a board member of APRA (the Australasian Performing Rights Association) representing the intellectual property rights of her fellow musicians. When music gets airplay, APRA sends a royalty cheque to the composer. Bic also talks about performing with another national treasure, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, and releasing her first album of original songs in over a decade.
